Area Attractions: Just six miles west is Manatee Springs. The boardwalk along the spring also runs through the Cypress Swamp and out to a covered dock pavilion at the Old Suwanee River. Just 30 minutes drive to the east is Gainesville that is the home of University of Florida. Gainesville offers a convenient regional airport, major hospitals, movie theaters, big-name restraints, department stores, and Florida's Gator's Sporting events.
